Projects​

Atlas​

Atlas is the canonical content platform powering the Avilium universe. It serves as the single source of truth for characters, lore, factions, and assets — every downstream project is a consumer of Atlas data. Built on FastAPI and PostgreSQL with semantic search, it supports both canonical narratives and an intentional False Lore pipeline used for in-universe alternate-reality mechanics. Atlas is currently in active development.

Universe of Avilium​

The Universe of Avilium is the public-facing lore and character showcase for the Avilium universe. The site is generated directly from the Atlas content platform, meaning all published content flows from a single canonical source. It is not in-character and may contain spoilers to stories or plot points not yet publicly revealed elsewhere. Information here represents ultimate canon, though it is subject to change as the universe evolves. Currently in active development.

Public Data Trust​

The Public Data Trust (PDT) is a website with content written with the assistance of AI tools pertaining to the Universe of Avilium. We use Perplexity to generate immersive, official looking content that reveals lore details through the lens of an in-universe propoganda machine. We use Gemini to generate "blog" articles and content for the site to intentionally include a satirically uncanny valley, human-adjacent feel to the writing. Both tools are fed canon details about the universe to generate specific content. The PDT website is not intended to drive any revenue for Avinadal.

Without revealing specific spoilers, the PDT website is intended to be filled with a variety of easter eggs that reveal even more lore. The plans for the website include adding more of these easter eggs to expand the ARG-oriented lore delivery.

The PDT is currently in a code freeze. Development will resume once Atlas and Universe of Avilium are further along.

Ao3 Stories​

While this isn't necessarily a formal project, we encourage community members to participate in the growth and development of Avilium by writing and publishing stories on Ao3. Note that stories on Ao3 should not be considered canon unless corroborated by information found on the Universe of Avilium. To read through our Ao3 stories, visit the Avinadal Ao3 Collection.

Our Views on AI​

AI tools have played a genuine role in how we build Avinadal. We have used AI assistance across Atlas, the Universe of Avilium, and this very site — helping with architecture, content pipelines, and development work. The PDT intentionally uses AI to generate in-universe content that is meant to read as AI-generated, and that remains part of its design.

That said, we are deliberate about where AI fits. Our stance has not changed: we use ethical AI tools to empower our creativity, not replace it. Characters, stories, and art remain human-authored. AI accelerates our tooling and helps us build faster — it does not write the universe for us. We remain watchful, selective, and honest about how and where we use it.
